Gannon Charities
A company with a social conscience, Gannon recognizes its responsibility to the communities in which it is located. Below are a few of our previous and ongoing projects:
- Tsunami Disaster Relief — Gannon contributed thousands of milk containers to the victims of the December 2004 Tsunami, and continues to support the more than 40,000 children orphaned in Aceh from that disaster.
- Operation Smile — Gannon helped fund Operation Smile International trips to Southeast Asia.
- AIDS Orphans — Gannon has funded a dormitory and provides ongoing support for an orphanage in Chiang Mai, Thailand for children whose parents have succumbed to AIDS.
- Medical Support — Gannon has funded medical missions to provide critically required surgery to children in Vietnam.
- Prevention of Sexual Exploitation — Gannon has worked tirelessly in concert with respected members of the NGO community to prevent the sexual exploitation of children.
- United Way Vietnam — Gannon is a founding sponsor and board member of the United Way Vietnam Organizing Committee, founded in 2003 by the American Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City with the mission to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities.
Gannon delivered 5000 drink packages to children in areas of Vietnam ravaged by the October 2006 typhoon.
