Walter Blocker is Chief Executive Officer of Gannon Vietnam Limited, an American licensed, 100% foreign invested service company with offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa City, and Hanoi Vietnam. He has been a resident of Vietnam since 1995.
Mr. Blocker is first and foremost an entrepreneur. During the 1990s and throughout this decade in Vietnam, Mr. Blocker pioneered five distinct business units encompassing large-scale liquid food manufacturing, logistics services, brand management, power generation, and industrial development. His firm is in partnership or provides services for more than 40 multinational corporations including Nestle, Pepsi, Unilever, L’Oreal, Diageo, Tetra Pak, GE, Shaw Stone Webster, and the Dong Nai Industrial Zone Authority. Throughout this period, Mr. Blocker has played an active role in the successful economic and social development of Vietnam, participating on multiple levels in both the private and government sector. Mr. Blocker served three terms as Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, is a Founding Board Member of the United Way International’s Vietnam Chapter, is a Vice Chairman of the Asia Pacific Council of American Chambers, is a Board Member of ORBIS International, and serves on the Board of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) Vietnam Chapter. Additionally, Mr. Blocker is Chairman of the Saigon Town and Country Club.
